Paid to post on Threads?

It is things like this that show Metas real intentions for Threads and Social Media. Paying people to interact and create content they then use and abuse for their own profits is also why ActivityPub needs to be wary (at the very least)

*EDIT* Regardless of how you feel about Meta and/or Threads, the fact that they are willing to pay people to post is totally against the spirit of the fediverse and for me is the main reason that blocking threads should be a serious consideration. Nothing good will come from federating with a platform that has already started with rewarding people to post. Next will be ads, changing ActivityPub to suit their own means etc.
