Meta has been formally charged by the EU for violating the DMA after Apple was also charged last week. These big companies are trying so hard to get around privacy legislation it is unreal. Both companies can be fined a whopping 10% of their turnover for not complying. At this rate Facebook and Instagram are going to be paid in the EU and UK otherwise they will literally shut down as they cannot comply as it stands. 2024 the year social media and big tech companies have to adapt to survive. Other companies are in the crosshairs too I am told, like Tik Tok and X/Twitter
