Well I can only say that the rush to leave X has turned into a veritable stampede with UK newspaper saying it is leaving X/Twitter and Bluesky gaining a million users brining it up to 15 million plus…

Now whilst those numbers are still fairly small they dwarf Mastodon which has slipped from a high of 2.5 million to just under a million now. I’m fairly certain in saying that Mastodon has missed its chance to be THE X/Twitter replacement – especially as Threads is approaching 300 million users nowadays. However, in the grand scheme of things Bluesky has still got a very small amount of users and for many still appears to be rather devoid of action.
