News has come in that Americans view Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, the bosses of X/Twitter and Meta, poorly. Not a shock to me, but this is why there is a real shift happening away from their empires. I have recently decided to step back from Facebook because as a platform, well to be brutal, its time has passed. X I stepped away from years ago as it descended into the Musk mire.

To be honest, I believe that social media has had its first AND second booms already and from now on there will be a vast amount of fragmentation. Already if you want to cover more than 50% of your bases you will need to be regularly posting on at least 3 or 4 different platforms even if that is to send people to the default content you want them to see. I can only see this getting worse, not better too. Oh well – onwards and upwards!
