I have recently checked out this free (with limitations) audio tool from Stable Audio.

It is far from perfect but I guess for simple motifs and hooks it could work, and it is free with more options available if you pay (of course!)
You can see the text I used to generate this short 45 seconds piece. I hope this is of use to some people!
