US Media sees huge Meta drop in engagement

Whilst nothing new to me and many others, it is nice to see that everywhere people are reporting on the drop in engagement being seen across social media, especially on Meta owned platforms.

I have seen this trend being even larger throughout 2024 so far, and also applies to personal accounts. To be blunt there also appears to be a growing difference in engagement across age groups with the over 40’s seeing the biggest drop with many getting disillusioned with social media because of ads, the algo game and general lack of interest from their peers. I can also say that this lack of engagement is prevalent across nearly all the platforms, not just Meta owned ones…
Things are a changing again in the social media world with AI making huge inroads these days
