Automattic lays off 16%/281

Seems the drama around Matt Mullenweg and WordPress continues to rumble on with the company laying off 16%/281 people on April 1st (no not an April Fools joke either). This continues 2025s continued whittling down in the tech industry and with the continued tarriff war that has started in earnest I can see a real tough 2025 ahead!
